Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I was born and brought up in a devoted Hindu family in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. I had my education at Methodist Central college Batticaloa, ( first English missionary school, founded by Rev.William Ault in 1814). I ignored Jesus Christ when I was 23 years of old. In 2008, I got married to my beautiful wife Dan (who was born and brought up in a Buddhist family in Sri Lanka) by a will of God and migrated to the United Kingdom. Two days after arriving in London, God gave us an opportunity to go to his church through my elder brother Nishanth’s friend Pastor Melvin and his wife Sis.Christine. Thank God, the decision that both I and my wife made that day became a turning point in our life, Afterthat, God performed many miracles in our life, one of them, he healed my wife's thyroxine disease with his healing power without any medicine. The word ‘Bible’ comes from the Greek word ‘ Biblos’. It is translated as ‘Vedaagamam’ in Tamil. The God we who worship is ‘holy’ that’s why it’s called Parisuththa Vedaagamam (Holy Bible). The Holy Bible is a collection of 66 books and the Holy Bible have two major sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. And here, the word of Testament means ‘ covenant’

ஆங்கில பெயரான ‘பைபிள்‘ என்னும் வார்த்தை ‘பிபிலியா’ என்ற கிரேக்க பெயரில் இருந்து வரும் பன்மை பொருளான ‘பிபிலியோன்‘ அல்லது ‘பிபிலியோஸ்’ என்ற பெயரில் இருந்து வந்தது.தமிழில் ‘வேதாகமம்‘ என்று மொழியாக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. நாங்கள் ஆராதிக்கிற எங்களுடைய தேவன் ‘பரிசுத்தர்’ என்ற படியால் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை உள்ளடக்கிய வேதாகமம் ‘பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம்’ என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம் 66 புத்தகங்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு தொகுப்பாகும். பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம் பழைய ஏற்பாடு, புதிய ஏற்பாடு என இரண்டு பெரும் பிரிவுகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. பழைய எற்பாட்டில் 39 புத்தகங்களும் , புதிய ஏற்பாடடில் 27 புத்தகங்களும் உள்ளது. இங்கே ஏற்பாடு (டெஸ்டமென்ட்) என்ற சொல்லுக்கு ‘ உடன்படிக்கை ‘ என்று பொருள்.
